Repair or Replace?


This can often be a dilemma. Especially if you think a repair might be expensive or you’ve had your appliance a while. Optimum try and help by removing some of the financial worry. Usually we find a repair is always the viable option. Even when you think the worst,  a repair can be substantially less then replacing the appliance and more environmentally friendly.

A problem that you think might be a motor or circuit board often turns out to be just a broken belt or blockage that is easy to remove or replace. Our engineer can call out and effect a repair with  minimum fuss. Even if we have to order a part we wont charge you another call out fee and we can normally obtain it within 2-3 working days.

Sometimes a repair may not be the best solution. If the appliance is very old the manufacturer may no longer have the part. However, until an engineer inspects your appliance you wont necessarily know.

If we call and for one reason or another you decide not to proceed or we can’t repair your appliance we can help with the next stage buying a new appliance. Our engineer will offer a discount voucher against any replacement appliance you buy from us. This can be equal to 60% of any call-out inspection fee paid.
